Practice 01

AI that pays rent inside your product.

We integrate large-language-model features where they remove real work: support assistants grounded in your documents (RAG), drafting and summarisation flows, classification and routing, back-office automation. Where an AI feature wouldn't survive contact with your users, we say so — and ship deterministic code instead.

Scope ai & automation development →Use-case audits from 1 week; feature builds typically 3–8 weeks.

What’s in the box

  • 01Use-case audit: which workflows AI can actually win
  • 02LLM integration (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) with typed contracts
  • 03Retrieval (RAG) over your docs, help-center and product data
  • 04Chat & drafting UX with guardrails and graceful fallbacks
  • 05Prompt/version management + evaluation sets before release
  • 06Cost & latency budgeting, streaming, caching
  • 07Automation: triage, classification, report generation
  • 08Privacy review: what leaves your servers and what doesn't

Deliverables at handover

  • Use-case audit with a skip-list (what we won't AI)
  • Typed integration inside your codebase and repos
  • Evaluation set + scorecard running in CI
  • Cost & latency model for production traffic
  • Runbook for model/API upgrades and fallback paths

Questions this practice gets

Do we actually need AI features in our product?
Sometimes — and we audit before you buy. The test is a workflow where text, documents or judgement are the bottleneck: support deflection, drafting, classification, search over your own corpus. If the win is a slide rather than a saved hour, we write it into the skip-list and ship deterministic code instead. The audit is billable, short, and honest by design.
Where does our data go when AI features are used?
Only where the contract says it goes. Default posture: provider APIs with no-training settings, keys and retention configured per agreement, PII minimised or redacted in the pipeline, and a written data-flow note in the repo. If a use case needs zero-egress, we price on-device or self-hosted options instead of pretending the cloud is free.
How do you price projects?
Fixed scope against a signed brief, split into milestone payments. After discovery you get a number, not a range. If scope changes later, it is priced in writing before work starts — the change rate is agreed in the same document so nobody negotiates under deadline.

Begin the ascent

Let's build the ai & automation development the right way.

One paragraph is enough to start — we reply within a working day with questions, a direction, and whether we're the right studio for it.
